Henry Sepulveda is the current Commander of the Dr. Hector P. Garcia. Henry Sepulveda Jr. is a Captain with the Corpus Christi Police Department and Commander of the Emergency Response Unit, overseeing SWAT, Bomb, Canine, and other specialized tactical divisions across a 28-year law enforcement career. A decorated U.S. Army combat veteran and FBI National Academy graduate, he brings over two decades of tactical command experience to high-risk operations and department modernizations. Outside of law enforcement, Sepulveda works alongside his wife, Eva, to support South Texas veterans and community initiatives through the American GI Forum.

Mr. Estrada serves as the current Vice Commander of the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Founding Chapter. Mr. Estrada has been a valuable member and active participant for over 20 years.

Ms. Chavez-Lozano serves as the Secretary of the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Founding Chapter. She has been active member and strong supporter of the organization for over a decade now.

Eva Vera Sepulveda is a decorated U.S. Army Gulf War combat veteran, educator, and community advocate who serves as Sergeant at Arms for the Dr. Hector P. Garcia American GI Forum of South Texas. A former U.S. Army Dental Corps member, she holds advanced degrees in biology and educational technology and currently serves as Program Direct
Eva Vera Sepulveda is a decorated U.S. Army Gulf War combat veteran, educator, and community advocate who serves as Sergeant at Arms for the Dr. Hector P. Garcia American GI Forum of South Texas. A former U.S. Army Dental Corps member, she holds advanced degrees in biology and educational technology and currently serves as Program Director and Associate Professor of Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene at Del Mar College, where she was honored as 2026 Favorite Teacher of the Year. Alongside her husband, Henry Sepulveda Jr., Commander of the American GI Forum of South Texas, she works tirelessly to support local veterans and families, driven above all by her deep pride in her three children and a lifelong devotion to mentorship, education, and community service.
